ANNUAL PRO-HUNT
January 9 & 10, 2009

Join Christian Family Day (CFD) for our Annual Pro-Hunt Fundraising Event, January 9-10, 2009. The Pro-Hunt gives you the opportunity to get away for the weekend to hunt with professional athletes and trained hunting professionals and dogs. Andy McCollum, of the Detroit Lions, will be our featured speaker for the weekend.

The event will be held at Harpole's Heartland Lodge which is nestled between the Mississippi and Illinois Rivers in Nepo, Illinois. Enjoy hunting Bobwhite quail and pheasants with the assistance of some of the finest German Shorthair Pointers and English Pointers. The lodge accommodations feature family style dining, a beautiful rustic sunken Great Room and a large recreation room. This Orvis lodge will truly make your stay unforgettable.

This is such a great opportunity to go and participate in a great cause and also to live out the word of our Lord Jesus Christ.

While some are participating in the shoot and the excitement of finding the game, I am relaxing in the beauty of the area and God's creation. To be able to go to Heartland Lodge and enjoy getting to know others who love the Lord from other parts of our country is a blessing.

I love the scripture in 1Peter 3:3 where he is talking about wives and husbands, because he says that your beauty should not come from outward adornment......instead it should be your inner self, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is of great worth in God's sight. So you see, this is a great opportunity to put on those faded jeans and an old tshirt and take a long walk or sit on the veranda and enjoy the quiet serenity that Heartland Lodge has to offer.
