"Turn
Two for Jesus"
Dear Judy,
I am a 37-year-old husband and
father of two young sons in Paducah, Kentucky.
About eight months ago, I shared with my wife
that I felt God calling me to serve Jesus Christ.
She suggested that I take my love for God, kids
and baseball and turn it into something positive
for the Lord.
I thought it was a fantastic idea, but, it seemed
like a huge task and I didn't know where to
start. One Saturday morning last fall, a neighbor
approached me and said, "I've got something
for you." He had been to a yard sale that
morning and he knew that I was a huge Cardinal
fan. He handed me an Albert Pujols baseball
card, but it was no ordinary baseball card.
It was a Christian Family Day card with Albert's
testimony on the back. I had to sit down because
I knew that God was talking directly to me through
that card.
Soon after that, I met with a minister at my
church and shared my vision with him. Within
just a few weeks our program, "Turn Two
for Jesus," was born.
Already this year, we've had two baseball clinics
for boys ages 7 and up. We are also planning
future softball and tee-ball clinics. With God's
Will, "Turn Two for Jesus" will grow
into camps, clinics, and mini-clinics for kids
of all ages, where we teach baseball and share
the Good News about our Lord and Savior, Jesus
Christ.
Judy, thank you for what you do.
You impact more lives that you will ever know.
I will continue to pray for your organization.
God Bless,
Christian Vinyard
